Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include, but are not limited to the following duties and tasks;

  • Preparation of Company Accounts in Sage 200 Accounting software.
  • Responsible for the Accounts Receivable and Payable functions of the business.
  • Maintain company ledgers in a timely manner (e.g. Transport ledger, Adjustments ledger)
  • Management of Company Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheet through relevant reconciliations and journal postings to meet month end timetable.
  • Responsible for monthly Bank reconciliations including the main banking accounts as well as the Invoice Discounting facility.
  • Producing and posting of monthly payroll journal from reports generated within the payroll software.
  • Completion of company VAT submissions.
  • Handling of client invoices to ensure adherence to payment terms.
  • Assist the Associate Finance Director with annual budgets and reforecasts to meet the needs of the business.

Profile

The successful Management Accountant will have:

  • Knowledge in management accounts and budget / forecast preparation
  • Some experience with SAGE 200 may be advantages
  • Ability to manage various stakeholder expectations and deliverable
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience
  • Happy to get stuck in, would suit someone from an SME background
  • Excellent attention to detail is key and the ability to work to set deadlines under pressure at busier times of the month
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential with the desire to make system and process improvements where necessary
