Job Description Our client is a well-established engineering company that is renowned for manufacturing advanced equipment used within the defence sector.
Seeking an experienced Production planner to join their Operations team.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager your role will require you to ensure effective planning of material and resource to meet the demands of the customer's deliveries.
The role will have a clear focus on continuous improvement and developing the planning function in line with the strategic objectives to enable effective procurement and planning to support production objectives and new product development.
Managing and controlling the Production Planning to ensure that production workflow is maximised to meet the output plan.Ensure parts and materials are delivered on time to meet the production schedule.
Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
Sales, Engineering, Production and Business Development.
Continually improve planning methods and procedures to optimize production performance.
Ensuring that products are shipped accordingly to the plan whilst maintaining compliance with export restrictions.
Development and recording of relevant KPIs to improve performance.
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a production planners role for an engineering company
Offering up to £38,000 basic plus a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, profit share scheme and 9 day working fortnight.
