- Technical Physiotherapy Assistant
Location - The Wellington Hospital, London
Contract Type:
- Permanent, part time at 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9.00am17.15pm with a 45 minute lunch break)

The Wellington Hospital are looking for a Technical Physiotherapy Assistant to support the physiotherapists working with the technology equipment (such as Lokomat, Erigo, Armeo, FES bike and Indego) in the provision of physiotherapy interventions after completion of a competency based training programme.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide programs of physiotherapy and rehabilitation activities to patients with acute, chronic or complex needs within the guidelines provided by the Physiotherapists including the independent use of the technological equipment
- To follow the Physiotherapy Assistant treatment plan as documented by the Physiotherapist for independent treatment sessions and liaise with the Physiotherapist in order to clearly understand any changes of an updated treatment plan prior to intervention.
- To assist the Lead Physiotherapist and Clinical Specialist in organizing and delivering training on the technological equipment to the Physiotherapy team.
- To be responsible for reporting faults with equipment and liaising with external companies to arrange repairs and deliveries.
- To be responsible for the weekly timetable and Organisation of the technological equipment to provide a coordinated and efficient service for both inpatient and outpatient services.
- To cover hydrotherapy poolside and take part in hydrotherapy sessions as required.
- To carry out administrative and housekeeping duties as delegated within the department and take responsibility for ensuring a safe working environment for all therapists and patients.
Skills & Experience
- An understanding of health related functions and experience working with people with disability is desirable
- Ability to use a computer/camcorder/digital camera
- Good time management and organisational skills with flexibility to respond to needs of the team
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
