GSL Education is actively recruiting a Autism Teaching Assistant (Practitioner) to work at a client schools located in Horncastle starting immediately.

Autism Teaching Assistant (Practitioner) Responsibilities:
The ability to identify students going into crisis mode and follow/be familiar with their special needs.
Provide 1:1 support for a young student with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
Previous involvement with SEN Children specifically Autism is an added advantage.
Previous working experience with Autistic children

Autism Teaching Assistant (Practitioner) Responsibilities:
Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
Assist in engaging lessons including outdoor education and creative learning.
Support young people social interaction.
Be able to work collaboratively with staff members and outside agencies, such as counsellors and mental health professionals

Develop self-esteem, confidence, and emotional wellbeing resilience in students to ensure regular attendance in school and active participation in learning and social opportunities.
