    Description
    Together we are creating truly impactful quantum computers. We are looking to hire an Electronics Engineer within the electronics team to enable Quantum technologies.

    Passionate about helping create technologies which can change the world? Take responsibility for the hardware system design, and realisation of a complex large scale electronics control system.

    Design, build and test electronics products using your skills of analogue and digital circuit design together with industry standard CAD packages and test equipment.

    Write the documentation of your electronics circuits and verification tests.
    Develop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas.
    Maintain the multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, physicists, working towards a common goal.
    Play a key role in building control systems for quantum computers.
    Maintain UQs' position of using state of the art electronics solutions.
    Help in the planning and scheduling of projects, reporting progress and issues.
    Engage with project planning activities, risk management and scheduling requirements.
    Help with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions.
    Develop a thorough understanding of the firmware and software used to control quantum computers.
    Excellent knowledge of electronics circuit theory and good EM field theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge.
    # PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debug skills using electronics test equipment.
    # Familiarity with digital system integration using HDL and high-level programming language and experience of mechanical / thermal awareness.

    Minimum 8 years' experience in high-performance Electronics Design including Digital, Analog and Embedded.
    Experience of FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real time systems.
    Experience of working with suppliers and contractors.
    1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
    A background in one of RF engineering, Research, Metrology and instrumentation.
    Understanding of signal integrity, high speed digital and EMC.
    Experience of C and/or scripting languages e.g., python and Matlab.
    Team and/or project management experience.
