- Salary £35,821.96
- Working hours 40 hours per week, plus an unpaid 30 minute break each day
- Pension is 4.5% employee + 4.5% employer.
- 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays
- 5% bonus based on business and personal objectives.
The role:
Responsible for the production of Management Accounts for the Depot including forecasting, credit control, accruals and stakeholder management.
Also responsible for the smooth running of the administrative functions within the office with people management responsibility
Main
Responsibilities:
Accounts
The timely and accurate preparation of all management accounts for the depot (once qualified)
Responsible for the monthly accruals and journals, i.e. expenses (once qualified)
Liaise with credit control to record and manage bad debt.
Provision of accurate and timely forecasting
Annual budget preparation
Analysis of variance and recommendations against budget Vs actual
People Management responsibility of administrators and operational staff in partnership with Depot Manager to include managing performance, quality of work, appraisals, payroll and all HR issues.
Stakeholder management.
Identify areas of improvement and suggest continuous improvements
Report on commercial financial data as per the requirements of the business area.
Working with all internal systems to include SAP, PRIMSA and Webcycle
Assist external and internal auditors during periodic audits
Office
Accurate recording of drivers and production staff hours to include overtime, holiday and any other absence for HR and payroll.
Issuing Purchase orders on SAP and match to the corresponding incoming invoices.
Monthly update of depot paper / plastic prices on PRISMA
Ensure the smooth running of the office, controlling the ordering of stationery, canteen supplies and PPE
Manage and support the team in order to complete all monthly administration tasks to ensure that all jobs and confirmed, correct weights added, checked and invoiced as well as all third party invoices are paid.
Develop and maintain the administrative process and procedures.
Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager in accordance with the scope and the responsibilities of the role
Academic qualifications
University education plus a qualified ACCA, CIMA (or similar) or working towards qualification
Professional experience
Managing a small team and ability to work across all business areas - essential
Excellent communicator - essential
Experience in forecasting - essential
Experience in Credit Control - essential
Strong analytical skills - essential
Specific training:

All Microsoft Office applications, SAP and Payroll, Prisma
(Functional / Skill Pool) Skills
Excellent communication and IT skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, including senior executives, both within internal and external customers
