    Job Overview

    To plan, co-ordinate and deliver during pre-production, production and post-production technical facilities for live, virtual and hybrid event projects (including conferences, meetings, launches, webcasts, roadshows, exhibitions, brand activations and stakeholder events) for clients represented by Strata.

    Events are delivered globally, as well as across the UK, so travel is part of the role.

    The position can be based in either London or Brackley.

    Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    Pitches and Proposals:

    • Working with the client services and production teams
    • To specify technical solutions for new projects
    • Preparing technical collateral for pitches/proposals
    • Preparation of internal & external technical production costings and budgets

    Project Management

    • Liaison with client services and production teams on a project basis to ensure cohesion
    • Technical site surveys
    • Technical specification of appropriate staging, technology, and digital solutions for projects
    • Budget management – technical production costs using Procim system
    • Supplier liaison, negotiation and management to ensure efficiency, quality, value and cohesion within the production
    • Crew liaison and management
    • Crew and equipment logistics
    • Venue liaison – technical facilities
    • Platform and IT liaison – technical
    • Management of project CAD plans.
    • Preparation of technical production schedules

    Health & Safety and CDM preparation - RAMS

    • Liaise with other departments within Strata ensuring that schedules and values are met
    • Advise producers on show software and virtual platforms with technical implications
    • Ensure Quality Management of the project – ISO9001
    • Ensure administration is kept up to date
    • On-site technical management to ensure smooth, timely, high quality event delivery

    Reconciliation and Post Event

    • Ensure projects are reconciled and information is passed in a timely fashion to accounts
    • Contribute to debriefs for the purposes of review and continual improvement

    Internal and Development

    • To remain up-to-date with new technology and its business applications
    • To remain up-to-date with staging design trends, materials and their business applications
    • To remain up-to-date with H and S practice and legislation
    • To remain up-to-date with the internal equipment inventory and facilities.

    Job Requirements

    • Background in event technical / audio visual/ staging services
    • Possibly a project manager in an AV/hire or staging company looking to grow into a production management role
    • Leadership and motivational skills (particularly on site)
    • Ability to work and sustain performance when under pressure
    • Strong IT skills – to include Office and basic CAD
    • Strong working knowledge of video, sound, lighting, electrics, rigging and staging
    • Working knowledge of current Health & Safety/CDM regulations & implications
