Day to day management of finances and the Finance team
Measuring financial performance and compilation of monthly management accounts and relevant commentary
Responsibility for payroll
Monitoring cash-flow
Reporting on the performance to departmental budgets
Contribute towards financial performance by identifying and delivering areas of financial improvement
Job Content:
- Facilitate the company's ability to make profit by:
- Compiling monthly company accounts
- Monitoring and reporting budgetary compliance.
- Analysis of material, labour, and foreign exchange to monitor margins achieved.
- Assessing opportunities for improvement
- Contribute towards business success by:
- Providing financial advice to colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions
- Interpretation of accounts
- Ensure compliance by:
- Ensuring business compliance with relevant regulations, that controls are in place and adhered to
- Ensuring personnel financial records are up to date and that tax, national insurance, pensions, and wages/salaries are paid on time
- Prepare the Business for continuing expansion by:
- Managing projects
- Designing working processes that maximise efficiency of financial management
- Developing a continuous change and learning culture
- Planning and organising activities
- Working as a team member, relating to internal and external customers and clients, persuading people to take a course of action, communicating, taking care of people, handling people problems, and assessing, training, and developing teams.
- Analysing and interpreting data and arranging and presenting complex information in a clear and logical manner which facilitates understanding, support for an idea and decision making
- Processing data
- Hold CIMA qualification or equivalent
- Have experience in a businesstobusiness environment at a Financial Manager level
- Have a good working knowledge of Sage Line 50
- Preferably experience of exposure to importing products
- Strong cost control skills and experience
- Has a communicative, engaged and involving management style
- Ambitious, energetic, and committed
