    We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced individual for the position of Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal / manager.

    This role is tailored to someone with a background in engineering or science, possessing substantial expertise in intellectual property (IP) and the broader IP landscape or graduates with 2-3 years experience who have completed an approved intellectual property course.


    Your Responsibilities:
    Manage and contribute to both in-house and external third-party patent searches.

    Manage and provide strategic guidance on Freedom to Operate (FTO), leveraging insights from knowledge acquired from our in-house design teams and external patent attorneys.

    Collaborate effectively with external legal professionals to optimize our IP strategy.
    Take responsibility for the management and oversight of our comprehensive IP portfolio.
    Provide expert advice to project teams on potential issues or infringements related to intellectual property.
    Advise project teams and the wider business on the patentability of products and associated benefits.
    Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure thorough patent box coverage and meticulous management of IP costs.

    Work in partnership with Research and Development (R&D) teams and external professionals to minimise potential legal exposure and maximise protection.

    Manage and delegate patent drafting and freedom-to-operate (FTO) oppositions with external attorneys as required.


    Qualifications / Experience:
    Background in engineering or science, degree preferred.
    Substantial experience in intellectual property (IP).Experienced graduates with an approved intellectual property (IP) course are encouraged to apply.
