The Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer is a key role within a growing team and requires an individual who is passionate about Power Electronics technology and its applications within the automotive, RF, digital, and space sectors.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong background in Power Electronics, Motor Control, and Inverter design, and must be degree-educated in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

The successful candidate will be based in a commutable location from Bristol, Bath, Swindon, or the surrounding areas and will be responsible for leading the design and development of cutting-edge Power Electronics technology.

They will be tasked with overseeing a team of engineers and ensuring the successful design and delivery of high-power SMPS (DC-DC, AC-DC), Inverters (DC-AC), and power conversion topologies utilizing IGBTs, MOSFETs, and GaN.

In addition to these technical responsibilities, the Principal Power Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for writing technical reports, interacting with other engineering teams, and assessing power conversion topologies.

Practical experience with IGBT design, SMPS design, and feedback/gate drive circuit design is highly desirable.
