    About the role

    We are looking to recruit an Analyst (level 1) to work out of our UKAS Accredited

    Laboratory. The successful candidate will be required to carry out routine analytical duties in the Organic Laboratory using complex instrumentation.

    You will be appointed initially to a particular area within the laboratory but may move flexibly across all the units over time. Full training will be provided for all areas of work.

    This role has been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you'll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test. Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made.

    About you

    You will have the ability to read, understand and follow health and safety instructions, written analytical methods and technical instructions and procedures. You'll also have proven experience of working in a quality controlled environment e.g. GMP/GLP.

    You will have proven experience following detailed written instructions / methods and have excellent attention to detail with methodical approach to work. It is desirable, but not essential to have experience using complex instrumentation, for example, chromatographic techniques.

    You will plan and organise your own time and can provide clear reasoning as to why workload has been organised in a particular manner, in addition you will be a great team player with the ability to be flexible and willing to support other individuals in the team.

    You'll have the ability to work well within a team environment, as well as being enthusiastic and self-motivated. Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and strict adherence to the quality system are essential.
