Elevation Recruitment Group have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Process Engineer to join a fast growing medical component manufacturer based in Sheffield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a Material Science, Metallurgy or Process Engineering background and ideally in casting and forging, to join an established team, that is looking to increase headcount due to increase business demand.
The process engineer will be responsible for:
Identifying and implementing process improvements to their assigned process (es) in terms of yield, quality, productivity, environmental impact, cost and safetyManage process improvement trialsWork collaboratively with the operations and quality departmentIncorporate lean methodologies and six sigma into sale activitiesAssess daily scrap review inline with scrap KPI'sUse root cause techniques in order to provide long term improvements and outcomesTo be considered for the Process Engineer role you will need:Degree or equivalent in Material Science or EngineeringAt least 2 to 3 years' experience within a hot metals environment, in a metallurgical or process engineering backgroundKnowledge of casting and/or forging processesExcellent attitude and passion to further grow and developAbility to think outside the box and improve processes in a cost effective manner Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
