Job Title:
Team Coordinator - Maintenance


Job Summary:

  • The Maintenance Team Coordinator will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and facilities
  • The Maintenance Team Coordinator will help guide the technicians and orchestrate an efficient scheduled work plan

Responsibilities and Duties:
1/ Manage and Maintain

  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager
  • Responsible for a team of Maintenance Technicians, Cleaners and Reception staff
  • Work closely with Technicians, Operators, Team Leaders, Managers in own and other departments
  • Work in accordance with the Apollo core values of Safety, Care and Trust
  • Work safely and promote safe working practices at all times and in compliance with national and company standards
  • Ensure that reactive and preventive maintenance work lists are completed on time
  • Carry out resource planning of the technicians and resolve any priority conflicts that may occur
  • Assist the team with scheduled maintenance work and escalate to the Engineering Manager any unresolve constraints
  • With the maintenance team ensure correct management of consumable and critical spares for each machine as required
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with all company procedures including maintenance procedures, permits, risk assessments and method statements
  • Be able to implement emergency procedures and instructions calmly and effectively in pressure situations
  • Stand in for the Engineering Manager during any periods of temporary absence as required with respect to the maintenance work requirements
  • Liaise with other colleagues as required to provide efficient work scheduling and completion
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all areas of the maintenance department and when working on site using 5C audits
  • Create and develop standard maintenance procedures
  • Conduct relevant risk assessments in conjunction with the compliance team.
  • Conduct start of shift team meetings
2/ Measure and Improve

  • Record and analyse maintenance data as required
  • Provide effective administration and work within the Company Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Systems
  • Assist and advise with plant improvements and modifications
  • Constantly improve and develop the maintenance process to ensure an efficient and reliable production operation
  • Record and escalate any issues affecting plant and team performance to the Engineering Manager and carry out any agreed remedial actions
  • Support the Engineering Manager with the feasibility, specification, procurement and installation of new plant and equipment
  • Collate relevant performance information and maintain uptodate communications for area of responsibility using visual displays wherever possible
  • Facilitate improvement activities in line with company best practice
3/ Human Resources

  • Support selection and recruitment activities
  • Provide effective training and mentoring of maintenance staff to ensure personnel are competent to undertake their duties.
  • Maintain upto date and accurate Time and Attendance information. Manage holidays, sickness and other absence in line with company policy. Conduct returntowork interviews.
  • Support performance management processes such as disciplinary and grievance as required

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • Appropriate IT skills (competent user of Emaint, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and the company ERP system)
