Teaching Assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support for a male Key Stage 4 student with SEMH needs.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Mentor looking for an opportunity within a wonderful SEMH setting? This small alternative provision are looking to add a Teaching Assistant to the team to work on a 1-2-1 basis with a male student who requires additional classroom support.

Experience working with challenging behaviours or special educational needs is essential for this role, you will be joining a small and experienced team of Teaching Assistants, who always put the needs of the students first.


As a Teaching Assistant you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1 basis, providing academic and behaviour support within the classroom setting.

You will be working alongside a team of experienced SEMH teachers who are passionate about breaking down barriers to education and making a difference.

A level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, and experience supporting SEMH needs or challenging behaviour are essential.


Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within small classes of KS4 children with SEMH needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
