We are recruiting for a Senior data analyst to join a software development company that builds reporting platforms and dashboards for the smart transport industry - these include management KPIs, geographic data mapping and passenger demographics - whichcan seamlessly integrate with the customers' existing infrastructure.


The successful Senior data analyst will be working as part of a small team predominantly based in the Waterlooville office and will support end to end development of a range of products for the smart transport industry.

The role will major in the use of SQL, ETL, warehousing, analytical data models and visualisations.

Previous experience of analysing complex, large data sets and translating findings to easily understandable business language is essential.

Your key responsibilities as a Senior data analyst will be:

  • Support customers in the expression of business requirements for their data and response to ad-hoc queries
  • Production of requirement and design documentation
  • Development of robust data flows and Apps within Qlik Sense and SQL Server data source (primarily)
  • Analysing, cleansing, transforming source data from multiple sources
  • Structured testing of data and process for identifying and resolving anomalies and maintaining data quality
  • Training and mentoring of software development team and advanced customer data analysts in data practice
  • Support of daily data process to ensure datasets are current and as expected
  • Provide regular updates on progress and challenges to your Line Manager
  • Travel to UK customer sites when required but mainly based onsite with the team.
The Senior data analyst role is perfect if you are/have:

  • Must be proficient with SQL (SQL Server preferred)
  • Ideally proficient with SQL Server T-SQL
  • ITbased or related qualification or significant and demonstrable data experience
  • Qlik Sense or other big data aggregation tool
  • Experience of ETL, warehousing, analytical data models, visualisations,
  • Advanced analytics
Understanding of differing data architectures to support various customer needs
