    Job Description

    We are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our Logistics team based in Colnbrook. You will be responsible for the management of the Company's fleet needs including company vehicles, hire vehicles and grey fleet and O license Operations (where applicable). The role is to ensure the cost effectiveness and efficient running of the fleet management function whilst adhering to legislative and health and safety requirements and following industry best practice.

    Key Accountabilities include:

    • Prepare, maintain and manage all fleet management records
    • Be the O license holder and main contact for all O license operations
    • Arrange servicing and repairs, payment of parking fines etc
    • Perform vehicle registration for new vehicles, ensuring all insurance and documentation is up to date
    • Work with relevant managers in order to understand and meet immediate and future vehicle requirements
    • Manage fleet procurement spend for servicing, maintenance and spare parts
    • Develop and manage supplier relationships including contract negotiation
    • Coordinate the replacement of existing fleets, ensuring environment and cost are considered
    • Using tracker software where relevant to analyse mileage and fuel efficiency and ensure driver compliance
    • Conduct driving license checks
    • Keep abreast of changes in vehicle and driving legislation, communicating changes to appropriate staff members
    • Plan, prepare and analyse annual expenditures with a look to reduce costs
    • Maintain a record of grey fleet drivers and ensure relevant documentation checks are conducted

    Requirements

    • Hold relevant Fleet Manager qualifications (CPC O licence or equivalent)
    • Able to demonstrate recent CPD
    • Previous management experience in logistics, vehicle leasing or transport administration
    • A self- starter with experience of setting up new systems / processes
    • Strong awareness and understanding of industry best practice
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills
    • A full UK driving licence
    • Excellent administrative and time management skills
    • Good standard of English communication skills
    • An understanding of vehicle manufacturers' guidelines and government legislation
    • Good IT Skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
    • A confident negotiator with supplier management experience
    • Hands on, can-do, flexible attitude
    • Flexibility to work unsocial hours including early mornings, late evenings and weekends - when required
    • Live within commutable distance to Colnbrook
