Role:
Cook and Resident Support
Contract: 16 hrs p/w (Two shifts 09:00-18:00)
At Abbeyfield , we want our residents to feel part of a community , where they feel empowered, safe and respected.
You will ensure the wellbeing and safety of our residents, being the first port of call for our residents to report any issues they may have, to investigate and escalate where necessary.
Budget management and basic computer skills would be an advantage, however full support and training will be given by our friendly and supportive staff.
No paid kitchen experience needed, but must be comfortable cooking for up to eleven people.We are looking for people that enjoy cooking for family or friends to cook a tasty lunch and lighter tea in the late afternoon evening.
Our ideal candidates will have the following qualitiesA cheerful and friendly demeanour , understand ing the needs of older people
Someone that e njoys being creative in the kitchen , whether it be a signature dish or your secret cake recipe
Somebody that isorganised, confident and happy to engage with others, sharing relevant information with in the wider Housing team.
