Prospectus is delighted to be supporting the British Association of Art Therapists in their search for a Project Coordinator.

This is a newly established position to support the project team deliver a substantial 12-month project to develop the career and education of Art, Drama and Music Therapists.

This is a 12-month, full-time position based in London (1 day a week in office).


The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) is a national professional body that works to promote art therapy and raise professional standards in the UK.

They work to promote a better understanding of the benefits Art Therapy can have for people's wellbeing and mental health across all communities.

The Education Reform Project is led by BAAT, in partnership with the British Association of Drama Therapists and the British Association for Music Therapy.

Reporting to the CEO, the newly appointed Project Coordinator will support the delivery of the Education Reform Project.

The postholder will ensure effective engagement with all three partner organisations and provide day-to-day coordination of the project to ensure delivery, including setting up meetings and note-taking.

The Project Coordinator will act as the main point of contact for the project, ensure key stakeholder meetings take place, the project remains on track, while ensuring a robust document filing system is in place.

To be successful, you will be an effective administrator with experience coordinating projects, including organising, and supporting meetings. You will be highly organised and an energetic multi-tasker, able to be flexible in the face of changing priorities. You will be a proactive problem solver and able to ensure the smooth delivery of the project. You will have excellent communication skills, able to liaise with stakeholders across all levels of seniority, and externally.

Any experience within the arts and/or health and social care sector, or a genuine interest in art, music and drama therapy is desirable, but by no means a necessity.
