A C BaconEngineering Ltd are also proud holders of the Royal Warrant ofAppointment as a tradesman to The Queen for the manufacture ofsteel-framed buildings.

    Therole: we have an exciting opportunity for a TraineeEstimator to join our commercial team. As a Trainee Estimator, youwill play a supportive role in the day-to-day running of theestimating department, ensuring that it runs smoothly withdeadlines met under direction from either the Senior Estimator orsenior management team. You will have a keen eye for detail, beable to work as part of a team, be highly organised with excellenttime management skills, have strong numerical acumen, andproficient oral and writtenabilities.

    The Responsibilities ofthe role: the main responsibilities of the role willinclude, but not necessarily be limited to: -

    To'log' and administer the receipt of ITTs under the direction of theSenior Estimator.

    Provide full support andassistance to the Senior Estimator and commercial department asrequired / requested.

    Work closely with allmembers of staff to ensure the smooth running of the department andbusiness.

    Gather and prepare documentation forthe Senior Estimator, in a timely fashion, asdirected.

    Interpret drawings and documentationeffectively.

    Produce precise 'take-offs' andschedules.

    Undertake basic Estimatingfunctions.

    Additional duties asrequired.

    Attend meetings to support the SeniorEstimator as, and when,required.

    What you will need:the successful candidate will, ideally, haveprevious experience within the structural steelwork industry,although this is not essential, as full in-house training will begiven. The role will ideally suit an ambitious individual who hasboth the willingness, patience, and dedication to learn and iscommitted to fostering a career with one of Norfolk's leadingstructural steelworkmanufacturers.
