    Role summary and purpose

    To lead the on-site Occupational Health team in the delivery of a full-suite of occupational health services, including but not limited to health surveillance and biological monitoring; drug and alcohol testing; fitness for task; case management; health promotion in line with the UK Employee Health Services clinical governance, and Kimberly-Clark (K-C) local and corporate standards and policy.

    The Occupational Health Advisor/Nurse will be an excellent communicator and adept at engaging with local key stakeholders and employees to promote and deliver the occupational health service, whilst adhering to professional and ethical Codes of Conduct and K-C standards; and acting with integrity and accountability to best represent the UK Employee Health Services Team and uphold K-C values.

    The Occupational Health Advisor/Nurse will support the management and development of the site Occupational Health Technician, and liaise with any supporting Occupational Health Physician in the delivery and management of site-based occupational health services.

    As a valued member of the UK Employee Health Services Team, the Occupational Health Advisor/Nurse will work in collaboration with colleagues in the UK Employee Health Services team: supporting in development and implementation of health-related programmes and policy; training and supervision; maintaining continuous professional development; clinical audit, and governance.

    To be successful in this role ,

    Essential

  • The incumbent should be on the first part of the professional Nursing & Midwifery Council register.
  • Hold a second level professional qualification in Occupational Health Nursing.
  • At least 3 years' occupational health experience including experience of the manufacturing industry and provision of occupational health to safety critical workers.
  • Competence in delivery of a full suite of occupational health service including, but not limited to health surveillance, biological monitoring, fitness for task assessment, case management, and health promotion.

  • The incumbent will be on Part 3 of the Nursing & Midwifery Council Register (UK – Specialist Community Public Health Nurse).
  • Management experience of leading a team to deliver occupational health services, ideally to the manufacturing industry.
  • Drug and alcohol collection officer.
