Are you looking for a challenging role to develop your skills, broaden your horizons and work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team? Then look no further.
We are seeking an enthusiastic newly graduated Podiatrist to join our team in this diverse and rewarding role. This opportunity is open to university graduates of 2023, seeking to commence in your first Podiatry role in 2024.
You'll be provided with structured supervision and opportunities to develop specialist core and advanced practice skills in a secure and supported work environment. You will work as a clinician and educator within a multidisciplinary and professional team context alongside experienced Podiatrists. You will have opportunities to participate in quality improvement and research activities and will be supported in your professional development as a Podiatrist.
In this role, you will work across both Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital Podiatry departments, with a strong focus on managing high risk foot complications in the outpatient, inpatient and multidisciplinary clinical setting. Working across both hospitals, you will develop your skills in managing a diverse case mix, including delivery of podiatry services in acute, sub-acute and rehabilitation environments.
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre and is the principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
NMHS is committed to growing the Aboriginal workforce as a part of our Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Strategy. As a measure to achieve equality, Section 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 applies to this position.
What we are looking for
A highly capable and values-driven health professional to join our fantastic Podiatry team, working across both Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals. You will be a driven and innovative individual whose actions, interactions and partnerships achieve high quality patient care. You will have the opportunity to embody the NMHS Values and make a real difference by providing safe quality care through expertise and teamwork.
While your qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values and attitude speak louder still. At NMHS, we aim to ensure our behaviours reflect our core values: Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity. During the selection process you will be assessed on your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this position while upholding our values.
