Position:Post Production Maintenance Engineer Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Contract (20 Hours) Location: Stamford CT 06902 Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Qualifications: Basic Requirements:
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in atelevision broadcast environment or equivalent combination ofeducation/experience as an engineer or similar position
    • Ability to operatemaintain design procure and assemble travel ready light weight andstreamlined systems for deployment. Both to domestic andinternational live events
    • Experience with post and broadcast systems includingnonlinear editing software and hardware Analog/Digital Audio andVideo Systems and computer networking knowledge
    • Excellent documentation andcommunication skills to facilitate effective results with staff andtechnology providers
    • Proficient in softwaredriven broadcast video equipment
    • Extensive Knowledgeof MacOS and Microsoft Windows platforms
    • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks andother data communication technologies
    • Able to work independently and with a teamunder live program conditions navigate solutions within theframework of air deadlines
    • Selfstarter and meets deadlines
    DesiredCharacteristics:
    • Knowledge of computer serverinstallation and maintenance
    • Proficient with post and broadcast production systemsand software including Avid Adobe Accelerated file transfertechnology AWS Cloud storage and bonded cellular technology
    • Advanced computer/ITskills including thorough understanding of networking subnets andIP configuration
    Responsibilities: We are looking for a motivated engineercomfortable functioning within a fastpaced environment to supportsystems for Remote Live Sports production onsite or athome base.This position is responsible for building designing configuring andmaintaining systems both in preparation of and during live eventssuch as Sunday Night Football Golf Tournaments World Cup and theOlympics.
    • Deploy and manage systems on remotes eventsincluding servers storage networks archive systems and applicationsto support the media preparation and delivery needs of theProduction and Engineering
    • Upgrade and patch systems as required for enhancedfunctionality and security issueresolution
    • Provide documentation of systems and supportprocedures to be utilized by the larger engineering production andoperations teams at the facility
    • Proactively communicate with vendors clientsand other engineering teams to resolve system issues and drivefuture development
    • Actively participate in projects to improve systems andprocedures through meetings and written updates
    • Research and evaluate new and/oralternative solutions and technologies to enhance operationaleffectiveness and reduce costs; define best practices and standardswithin disciplines
    • Design infrastructure solutions to match business needsApply best design practices to meet project goals translate projectscope from client into efficient engineering solution; contributeto budget development
    • Work independently in a fastpaced live televisionenvironment and will be responsible for ensuring the onsite systemsstay operational under all circumstances
    • Work within client equipment managementsoftware to catalog track and pick assets for deployment
    • Assist the remotesgroups with system designs budgeting integration and maintenance ofour systems
