Description
1.

To be responsible for the delivery of Carer Training courses/Family Interventions at their identified base, and when required across any other venues across the trust footprint and at any partner organisations venues.2.

Organise, design and deliver engagement sessions and effective communications promoting engagement opportunities to Carers (including friend and significant others), service users trust staff and external stakeholders.3.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners ensuring the best possible service is available to Carers, dealing with any matters arising in a timely and professional matter.4.

Provide 1:1 wellbeing support to Carers utilising personal experiences or knowledge of services to enhance individuals recovery journeys.5.

Support the mental wellbeing of those accessing Carer Training courses/Family Interventions managing exposure to sensitive and emotional content, experiences and materials.6.

To contribute towards the co-production and co-delivery of courses and experiences provided for Carers using a combination of experts by profession and experts by experience.7.

To contribute to staff training initiatives and the promotion of the principles of the Triangle of Care within Trust teams.8.


Support the Engagement and Experience management team in designing appropriate evaluation tools for learning, advice and support programmes ensuring effective data collection.9.

Enabling and encouraging Carers to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified.10.

Develop open, honest, supportive and professional relationships with Carers who access our services.11.

Proactively contributing to continuously improving the service by making positive suggestions, providing constructive feedback and assisting in the implementation of agreed new ways of working.12.

To work collaboratively with all Engagement and Experience team members, sharing information and supporting colleagues.13.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the effective embedding of Carer support and provision in inpatient and community services.14.

Participating in the induction of new colleagues when required.15. Contribute to the data collection and evaluation of systems and processes which highlight the effectiveness of the service.16.

To participate in regular supervision and appraisal and undertake any relevant training as appropriate to the role.17. Map Carer support interventions available within the locality and update resources as required.18. Responsible for taking appropriate immediate action following incidents and subsequent reporting and completion of Trust documentation. This will include areas such as complaints, safeguarding, adverse incidents etc.19.

Whilst developing a rapport with Carers the post holder will at all times work within clear professional boundaries.
