    Description

    The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a part-time, teaching-intensive Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy.

    The appointed individual will join our collegiate and research-active team of academic and clinical staff who deliver high-quality teaching, clinical training and dissertation supervision to students on our highly regarded undergraduate and postgraduate speech and language therapy programmes.

    We welcome applications from clinically qualified candidates with experience of clinical practice in a specialist capacity in paediatric speech/language/communication needs and/or eating, drinking and swallowing.

    They will have experience of teaching in a higher education setting and/or supporting speech and language therapy students in a clinical educator capacity.

    Applicants should be willing to contribute to the highly collaborative, inter-disciplinary and collegiate environment at the University of Reading.

    The position is available on a part time (up to 0.4 FTE) permanent basis commencing on 1st August 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

    a BSc/MSc/MSci in Speech and language therapy (or equivalent speech and language therapy qualification)
    have clinical practice experience in a specialist capacity in paediatric speech/ language/communication needs and/or eating, drinking and swallowing
    experience of supporting/supervising/teaching students on speech and language therapy programmes
