    Main duties of the job

    The Trust is delighted to offer the opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join their Team. The post holder will work across a variety of caseloads including also include, trauma, spinal, inpatient orthopaedics, and respiratory. They must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a team.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

  • To assess and identify the individual needs of patients, to clinically diagnose and implement treatment plans if appropriate in a manner that respects peoples privacy, dignity, and individuality
  • To formulate and deliver an individualised physiotherapy treatment programme, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic handling, patient education, provision of exercise (individual/group), and other alternative options
  • To record and report findings appropriately following the standard procedures used by the department to maintain high levels of written/verbal communication
  • To assist Clinical Therapy Manager/Team Leader in service development and the provision of a quality service
  • To take responsibility for junior members of staff and delegate duties as necessary, always providing appropriate level of support
  • To be responsible for maintaining own competency and self-development

    Experience

    Essential

  • Previous NHS experience
  • Major Trauma experience
  • Ability to interpret complex information to make decisions
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • HCPC Registration
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
