What is the role?


Reporting to the CRO, The Vice President, Sales (EMEA) will be responsible for driving the end to end performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization's go-to-market operations across all of EMEA inclusive of sales, sales strategy, field marketing, account management/customer success and local services strategy.

This sales leader must be able to collaborate, empower, measure and motivate effectively, leading by example.


What you'll do:


  • Define and implement the Go to Market strategy across EMEA to drive quantifiable impact on business
  • Lead the organization by setting expectations and continuously inspecting, assessing and making changes as required to drive operational effectiveness
  • Use data, field, industry and competitive intelligence to build strategy and global partnerships
  • Achieve objectives for sales, profits, volume, product mix and other strategic goals
  • Become a trusted executive advisor to your team, customers, field counterparts, marketing, account management, customer success and product leadership
  • Communicate effectively with internal resources such as Industry leadership, Product Marketing, People, Talent Acquisition, Development, and Sales Management to gain commitment, support and collaboration
  • Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions
  • Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services
  • Maximize team productivity, results and career development by understanding your team's skill levels, working styles, motivations, and professional goals
  • Solidify succession plans and enhance management capabilities to meet strategic and operating objectives
  • Establish a strong collaborative culture with peers across the organization
  • Meet the hiring plan by hiring, retaining and developing a talented and diverse workforce aligned to ThoughtSpot Values
  • Create and deliver content (presentation and discussions) to support business agenda and narratives; including the ability to align quantitative data analysis with qualitative to develop effective go to market strategies
  • Assist with development of training and development plans for Sales Leadership and other GTM leaders across EMEA
  • Establish, lead and create a diverse high performance and collaborative culture

What you need:


Basic:


  • 15+ years of sales team leadership and management experience in SAAS
  • Proven track record of experience leading complex, geographically dispersed and performanceoriented Sales Organizations
  • Demonstrated sales skills in complex deal development, financial structuring, negotiations, and closing with both new and existing clients.
  • Ability to mine, analyze and interpret data to make business decisions that will drive ongoing revenue growth.
  • Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level vision to daytoday tactical commercial operations.
  • A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable.
  • Extensive leadership and management skills. Personable with solid team skills and works well in a highly innovative and collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with urgency and speed, while executing sound and thorough judgment.

Preferred:


  • Possess good analytical capabilities, be organized, and able to work many tasks at the same time; ability to synthesize feedback and perspectives from multiple parties
  • Track record of building, coaching and enabling a rapidly growing a global team
  • Experience selling into a variety of industries and territories as well as experience cultivating larger, strategic key relationships
  • Capacity to work on crossfunctional projects and teams as needed as well as leverage internal resources to problemsolve
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills includes excellent reporting and forecasting skills
  • Experience with BI and Analytics
