    Project management of our 'non-vehicle' projects & programmes at JLR is carried out differently across our business functions. We do not have a standard way of delivering, governing, reporting or assuring these projects, which can result in; late delivery, cost over runs or falling short of business case commitments.

    These projects and programme include: infrastructure projects, like new paint facilities that are directly connected to a vehicle programme or transformations projects and programmes that include: new Digital IT systems, a change in our Go-to-market approach through to building a new aftermarket hub. Today, there are somewhere in region of 1000 projects, with an investment of £

    These non-product projects & programmes follow a standardised financial appropriation process, but no consistent methods to delivery of the programme. We rely on the capability, experience, best practices, preferred tools, etc of the appointed individual responsible for each project.

    This role is to design, build and implement the Project Management framework that will be used by our project managers to deliver ALL non vehicle projects within JLR.

    WHAT TO EXPECT


    • Support for the overall implementation of a tailorable Project management framework, as well as a simple, easy to use toolkit of processes / systems / tools / practices to support the delivery, control, governance, self-assurance and independent assurance of our projects.

    • Support the development of an approach for how we assure adherence to the delivery toolset, linking in with the corporate assurance and audit teams for best practice.

    • Support the cultural change agenda required to embed changes in ways of working with the project management professionals.

    • Be part of the PM community of practice across JLR to drive a focus on deployment and continuous improvement of the framework.

    • Ensuring that the Project delivery system appropriately combines waterfall and Agile practices and tools across the chapters and ensure an agile mindset is present throughout.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED


    • Experience as a project or programme management analyst

    • A clear understanding of the differences between project control and project management.

    • Practical experience of techniques & processes for planning, monitoring and controlling projects & programmes, including risks management.

    • Credibility within the project management environment and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

    • Formal project management qualification.

    • Transformation and change management experience.
