Description
Our Client implement open automation systems based on PC Control technology. Their product range covers industrial PC's, I/O and Fieldbus Components, Drive Technology and automation software.


Job Description:


  • The primary role is Application Support for their hardware and software products. There is an emphasis on IEC 61131 PLC programming, Connectivity and Motion Control on Windows IPC and embedded platforms. Working within a dynamic technical team.
Key Tasks

  • Work on site with customers providing
  • Technical assistance for the product range
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting on existing systems
  • Conduct meetings with customers and suppliers
  • Attending sales meeting with BDM's to provide technical demonstrations
  • Customer training at Beckhoff facilities

Qualifications:


  • Engineering or Software degree.
Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in automation sector
  • Experience in IEC 61131 programming environment
  • Knowledge of automation processes and fieldbus systems
  • Experience gained in factory automation environment
  • Customer oriented working
Knowledge and Skills

  • Drive systems including Servo, stepper and DC based systems
  • PLC programming to IEC 6113
  • Good Electronic/Electrical understanding
  • Good working knowledge of Automation systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with customers.
  • Highly organized and selfmotivated
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing support priorities
This position is full-time home-based role.
