Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes in the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• You will routinely engage with C-level, VP, and Director-level executives, both internal to VMware, and externally with VMware customers, providing perspective and guidance on long-term business/technology strategy, investments, and innovation, drawing upon the depth and breadth of your technical, business and service management knowledge.
• The Transformation Consulting Architect acts as a trusted advisor to assist customers in driving increased value realization from their IT services by designing solutions that utilize modern practices to adapt customer operating models in support of their Multi-cloud strategy.
• Ensures that the customer is guided with a clear vision with the end state in mind, providing the customer with the necessary transformative guidance across People, Practices, and Technology focus areas in support of their business objectives.
• The Transformation Consulting Architect is a strategic role, which combines the competencies of strategy consulting, thought leadership, and IT transformation sales support into a delivery role.

What to expect when you join

• The first few weeks after joining will be spent following the VMware by Broadcom onboarding process which will ease you into your new environment allowing you to familiarize yourself with the systems you will be using, any mandatory training, getting to know your peers and other UK&I teams that you will be working and liaising with.
• You will be allocated a mentor (someone in a equivalent role) that will help you to get up to speed with the PS Service Offerings and allow you to shadow a number of inflight engagements to allow greater familiarisation with who we deliver the services.
• After approx days you will be allocated your own projects to begin delivering, supported by your mentor and the wider team as required.
• From this point onwards, you will aim to solidify your knowledge and soft skills via the learning platforms made available to you.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be promoting on a regular basis?

• Strategically plan with sales, pre-sales, and the customer to build out customer transformation journeys and delivery roadmaps.
• Provide input to scope and support Transformation sales opportunities, creating high-quality business cases, statements of work, and customer use cases for governing and operating Multi-cloud solutions.
• Review customer practices and operating models, define improvement roadmaps, and assist customers with the implementation of recommendations utilizing industry best practices and driving the adoption of VMware by Broadcom solutions.
• Deliver and facilitate workshops designed to drive customer outcomes within projects, influencing business and IT strategy through the delivery of Transformation Consulting service offerings.
• Develop, contribute to and promote awareness of Transformation Consulting Portfolio Services and delivery best practices.
• Design and implement modern practices utilizing industry-recognized frameworks, such as ITIL, DevOps, SCRUM, Agile, etc.
• Assist team growth by contributing to delivery excellence training, cross-team collaboration, and knowledge sharing of good practices.
• Develop a high-level technical knowledge of the VMware by Broadcom products and keep abreast of future product direction.
• Establish solid working relationships with VMware by Broadcom strategic account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, and executive staff to drive awareness of the Transformation Consulting service across the UK&I.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

The successful candidate will report in to one of the Consulting Mangers within the UK&I team. Following the acquisition of VMware by Broadcom the Consulting team and structure has remained largely unchanged allowing for the continued culture within the team to remain and grow.

Along with the rest of the Professional Services business we are critical to the success of VMware by Broadcom. We strive to have a diverse, but unified team, one which is entirely focused on our customers and their success.

Flexible : The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined by your manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.

Remote : This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the location you feel most productive and comfortable.
