TheFacilities Department provides unique Facilities ManagementServices to the John Innes Institute, the Sainsbury Laboratory, andthe Earlham Institute. Our prime objective is to deliver safe, highquality scientific environments, which support scientists involvedwith market leading, world class research, and our cleaning Team isa key part of providing thisenvironment.
Therole:
To undertake generalcleaning duties quickly, efficiently and in a safe manner, within avariety of assigned areas ranging from offices, conferencefacilities and laboratories in accordance with the various servicelevel agreements of the various clientsserved.
The idealcandidate:
The ideal candidatesfor these roles would have previous relevant work experience as aCleaner or Housekeeper. Competency in health and safety matters asthey relate to the provision of cleaning services is essential, asare excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent time management skills are essential,as is the ability to work on own initiative and the ability toprioritise to meet the demands of the role. Our cleaners typicallystart between 5-6am Monday to Friday, so the ability to start atthat time of the morning is an essential requirement to this post.Some flexibility around those hours, i.e. extending working hourson occasion will also be required.
Due to thedemands of the role, it is essential for the ideal candidate to beable to handle potentially heavy or awkward cleaning equipment andmachinery, and stand/walk for long periods of time (reasonableadjustments will be considered for applicants with adisability).
Additionalinformation:
Salary on appointmentwill be £11,897 per annum (22,011 FTE). There are three part-timeposts for 20 hours per week offered on an indefinitebasis.
