We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Learning pillar for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join The Life Rooms Social Inclusion Team as a Digital Health Advisor.

The role involves supporting individuals, communities, services and organisations to develop their knowledge and skills in utilising digital means to improve and maintain health and wellbeing.

This could be on a 1:1 or groups basis both face to face and virtually.

A good knowledge of digital health and wellbeing resources, technology and software is essential and an understanding of how to address digital deprivation as a health inequality is advantageous.

  • Work within primary care, multi-disciplinary team settings and VCSE Organisations to support services to become more digitally enabled.
  • Produce a range of accessible resources to support individuals and communities in the use of digital technology in addressing health and wellbeing needs
  • Engage communities to consider health inequalities and use digital means to create bespoke support addressing the wider determinants of health.
  • Be responsible for own time management, working autonomously and as part of a team to facilitate training, 1:1 support and information guidance across services, communities and organisations.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including primary care, VCSE organisations, and community representatives to support effective service delivery.
  • Engage in side by side working in order to co-produce a service that is responsive to individual and community needs.
  • Support the delivery of key performance indicators for the service
  • Producing reports as requested.
  • Keep accurate records, update systems and databases, and maintain digital platforms to a high standard in order to produce robust and timely statistical reports.
  • Signpost people to other services where appropriate and support access to these to gain further support around health and wellbeing needs.
  • To actively participate in developing directorate, team and individual objectives and plans, attend staff performance management and learning and development reviews.
  • The post holder is expected to be flexible in the performance of duties and to undertake any other duties identified as appropriate to the post.
