Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist within our Aids and Adaptations Team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the delivery of high quality care and is able to inspire, motivate and lead an established community based team in Huyton.

You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, specialist expertise, and supervision to our fantastic team of Occupational Therapists and Therapy and Technology Practitioners, as well as having a lead role in the development and delivery of the clinical service working alongside the Team Manager.

You will be based within the Centre for Independent Living in Huyton working closely with other community services to help increase independence and safety for service users in our community.

Applicants should be HCPC registered, who can demonstrate suitable clinical experience. You will be able to adapt to change and unpredictable situations and will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, team working, and problem solving skills.

Main duties of the job

You will provide clinical leadership, specialist expertise and supervision to Occupational Therapy staff, Therapy and Technology Practitioners, and students. You will lead on promoting and developing quality and safety within the service.

We are looking for an individual with great interpersonal skills to network with acute and community colleagues to co-ordinate a responsive, seamless service across pathways and sectors. You will have advanced clinical knowledge to include aids and adaptations, moving and handling and complex seating assessments for adults and children. The post will require organisational ability and a commitment to service development and clinical effectiveness.

You will be responsible for reviewing equipment and adaptation requests to ensure they are clinically appropriate for needs and make effective use of resource.

Job responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities: 1. Provide clinical expertise and knowledge to the team when managing complex and highly complex Assess patient/client conditions and consider a range of options when delivering complex and highly complex clinical Work in collaboration with other stakeholders to deliver services to patients/clients.
