Description
I am recruiting for a Regulatory Policy Finance Manager with a utilities company in the home counties (hybrid working). You will provide cross-functional strategic oversight across the regulatory programme along with other key business drivers.

This roleis pivotal in ensuring that the regulatory requirements are integrated fully within the PR24 programme and those that are requested from the Executive, Board and Shareholders.


In addition to the following:

  • Management of a variety of projects ensuring the output is timely and of high quality, consistent with our internal and external standards.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to time, quality, and cost constraints.
  • Work with the business to ensure a full understanding of regulatory requirements and translate these into key deliverables
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business ensuring that all financial teams fully understand all regulatory requirements for their area, working in a truly collaborative way.
  • Work with the functional areas to deliver highquality, impactful and ontime formal and informal regulatory submissions
  • Support the functional areas in the requirement for external advice and support both in terms of the development of key deliverables and also technical assurance.

Profile

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in utility regulation, obtained in the water industry or a similar asset management industry, including an understanding of the delivery of the business plan and price review process within a regulated industry
  • Highly effective communication skills to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, manage others and gain cooperation, where necessary, to deliver strategic commercial and regulatory outcomes.
  • High levels of influencing and collaborative skills in working with a wide variety of personnel from different backgrounds and with diverse roles within the business, including at senior levels.
  • Able to demonstrate that you can deliver on time within tight deadlines and to budget, and work within corporate governance procedures
  • Selfmotivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Expertise in some or all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Experience with analytics and the ability to consolidate information to form a cohesive report.
  • Indepth understanding of regulation within a regulated industry.
  • Previous experience in developing and presenting complex regulatory matters to Board level audiences and being able to defend key decisions when challenged

Job Offer
Circa £70,000 PA DOE plus car allowance, bonus and excellent benefits
