Position Overview
Deluxe Media Audio is seeking an Audio Editor to undertake a variety of duties based in our Audio department.
Primary Responsibilities Become a crucial part of the audio department along with other Editorial members of the team. Assist the Audio Operations Manager on a daily basis and be aware of all materials needing to be delivered from the facility via various digital platforms. Provide support to all the mix theatres & edit suites, and make sure that all audio materials are made available in a timely manner for the allocated work schedule. Advanced audio editorial duties tracklay, clean up & sync of dialogues for mix, vocal tuning etc. Full technical QC of material before it is despatched to clients. Ensure that all deliverables are complete & delivered on time. Daytoday running of the Data Operations department & general file management duties. Maintain and update key documentation such project trackers, QC sheets, editorial training documents, ingest & etc. Create audio editorial templates for foreign reversioning & deliverables. Train & guide junior members of the team in editorial workflow, deliverables & admin responsibilities.
Provide technical support with server maintenance, plugin installations, regular data backups etc. Archive requested audio material. Preferable experience and skills include:
  • Past experience of audio editing in an editorial role within the theatrical/home entertainment field.
Advanced Avid Pro-Tools knowledge and Mac user experience. Dubbing/ADR recording experience advantageous. Basic Microsoft Excel & Word skills. Previous experience using various digital delivery systems e.g. Aspera Faspex. A strong understanding of postproduction sound technology & workflows. Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Accuracy and clarity in both written and verbal communication. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight delivery deadlines. Capable of working in a team and being a very strong team player. Available to work long hours and weekends to meet clients deadlines as requested. These hours could be at very short notice. Willing to learn new technology and take on new responsibilities as and when needed. Adaptable and dynamic approach to a fast paced environment. Diversity Statement
