    Senior Systems Engineering Manager - Electrical Engineering

    • Location: Midlands, UK, Hybrid working.
    • Start Date: ASAP

    • Salary: Packages of £60,000-85,000 are available for the right candidate

    Turner Lovell are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineering Manager with experience in introducing 'requirements management' and 'verification and validation' methodology into a 'low Systems Engineering' maturity environment.

    This role will lead the development of a 'Systems Engineering' approach towards compliance with ISO / IEC / IEEE 15288:2015 Systems and software engineering, across the business to support the delivery of several large infrastructure projects.

    Our client is a world leader in the engineering and delivery of electricity solutions for renewable energy mega-projects globally.

    This role is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all systems engineering technical tasks required to realise project objectives, whether those tasks are undertaken in-house or by Suppliers / Sub-Contractors.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • and lead 'Systems Engineering' activities across all projects.
    • a strategy to achieve compliance to 'ISO / IEC / IEEE 15288:2015 Systems and software engineering' System life cycle processes and implement this strategy.
    • compliance work on 15288 to CMMI maturity levels.
    • the systems engineering technical budget.
    • the Requirements / Technical Quality Plan.
    • for the adoption of best practices in Systems Engineering and Electrical Power Transmission to improve the delivery of the Engineering function.
    • and routinely promote the identification of hazards and EHS risks in own area of operation and objects of design. Provide insight to leaders, customers and colleagues with respect to own safety and systems and product integrity.
    • compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Power Transmission industry or similar field.
    • from the 'Low Systems Engineering' maturity environment.
    • in a consortium project environment.
    • good understanding of dependability management and relevant industry standards.
    • degree in engineering, science, or related field.
    • / practical experience in implementing a 'Systems Engineering' approach into a business.
    • leading technical teams.
    • with requirements management tools such as IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS 9.7.0.
    • communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team environment.
    • to travel as required.
    • level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset.
    • able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
    • proactive in identifying and mitigating technical risks.
    • a high level of attention to detail.
