    £DK Recruitment are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their client and become an integral part of the finance team. Joining an established company in Plymouth and reporting to the Chief Financial Accountant this role is a brilliant role to join and grow and with the company.

    In summary the role will comprise of supporting the CFA and taking responsibility for the completion of monthly tasks including overseeing completion of group balance sheets and control accounts.

    To take the lead for the Fixed Asset Register

    Support the Accounts Payable & Balance Sheet Accountant, including ensuring that associated problems are quickly investigated and appropriately reported for.

    To support and cover for, the accounts payable and balance sheet accountant.

    To oversee the financial accounts, month end control routine, including the control checklist – Including updating and verifying the fixed asset statutory accounts note each month end.

    To liaise with external auditors for statutory and other audit requirements, particularly with regards to the fixed assets. To resolve audit queries in areas of responsibility.

    To assist the CFA in the provision of advice and training for finance staff and other colleagues as required on financial accounting issues and accounting developments.

    Deputise for the Chief Financial Accountant or cover for the Accounts Payable and Balance sheet accountant as required.

    Substantial experience of working in accountancy environments, including the use of computerised systems, and working with others on joint sheets to meet deadlines.

    Thorough knowledge of accounting systems, including accounting standards and the use of double entry bookkeeping.
