Manufacturing Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a driven, tenacious Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in the production of the monthly management accounts whilst also undertaking responsibility for the effectivecosting of all new and existing products.

With a clear and ambitious growth plan, the successful applicant will also play a key role in ensuring standard processes are implemented.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

Management and control of standard costing processes including setting of direct labour and overhead rates;
Monthly analysis of production variances incorporating efficiency, margin and purchase prices;
Monitoring of direct labour and overhead recovery rates;
Assisting with the annual budgeting process including control and production of annual cost of sales budget;
Establishment and implementation of effective KPI's to ensure effective reporting on company performance.
Applicants for the position will either hold a full accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience with a strong background of working within manufacturing or engineering;
In addition, proven excellent commercial and finance business partnering capabilities will be essential to undertake this role effectively.
