    Private Client Legal Adviser (Court of Protection)

    Join the Private Client Team at a prestigious legal 500 firm. The team are looking for a Private Client Legal Adviser with expertise in Court of Protection matters to join the team.

    This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload involving complex issues such as acquired brain injuries, mental health concerns, learning difficulties, and elderly affairs. As part of the team, you will provide advice to clients while contributing to the growth and success of the firm.

    Responsibilities:

    • Handle a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications, disputed Lasting Powers of Attorney, lifetime gifting, advance decisions, and Statutory Wills.
    • Assist in business development initiatives both internally and externally.
    • Mentor junior team members and delegate tasks effectively.

    Requirements:

    • Be experienced in private client law, with a focus on Court of Protection matters.
    • Familiarity with the Mental Capacity Act and relevant legal frameworks.
    • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
    • Ambitious, with leadership capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
