Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, work strictly in accordance with Practice protocols & guidelines.

The HCA will maintain accurate and up to date patient records Duties and Responsibilities include:

ECG recording Blood Tests Urine tests Ear irrigation Blood Pressure Checks Diabetic foot checks Pre Diabetes consultations 24 hour BP Monitor Fit NHS Health Checks Basic Dressings Suture Removal Assist with minor surgery (ocassionally) Chaperoning duties Ordering medical supplies / dressing supplies /medications for drug cupboard Ordering Immunisations (Child/ Adult/ Travel) / stock rotation / maintaining cold chain Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.

Notifying the GPs/Practice Nurse of any significant patient issues Administration of the following injections/vaccines B12 Pneumococcal Shingles Seasonal Flu injections and intranasal Ensure Infection Prevention Control measures are maintained at all times Confidentiality:
