Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Time Toolmaker to join our team.

You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by creating, repairing, and maintaining a variety of precision tools, dies, and fixtures.

Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency, quality, and performance of our products.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with design and production teams to interpret technical drawings, and specifications.
Utilize manual and CNC machinery to fabricate, modify, and repair precision tools, dies, and fixtures.
Operate precision measurement instruments such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, and optical comparators to ensure accuracy and quality.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling and equipment in a timely manner.
Continuously improve tooling processes and techniques to optimize efficiency and quality.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, changes made, and materials used.
Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to problemsolving efforts.
Work collaboratively to meet production goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Relevant; technical/vocational training in toolmaking, machining, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Toolmaker or similar role, with a strong understanding of precision machining and toolmaking processes.
Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, EDM machines, etc.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of various tool steels, materials, and heat treatment processes.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within crossfunctional teams.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Time management skills to effectively manage parttime hours and contribute to the team's goals.

Working Conditions:

Fulltime position: 1624 hours per week, 08:0016:30 Mon
Thurs, 08:0014:00 Friday.
Work environment includes manufacturing floor and tooling workshop.
Regular use of machinery and precision tools; potential exposure to noise and chemicals.
Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
Occasional lifting of heavy objects and prolonged periods of standing may be required.
