An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and personable risk and compliance officer to join a not-for-profit company in Leeds where you will be working closely alongside the head of risk and compliance to create a positive compliance culture.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join a company with a big focus on corporate social responsibility.

The hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, this is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.


The responsibilities of the Risk and Compliance Officer:

  • Build relationships with all areas of the business and support in the management of all regulatory issues
  • Take ownership of the complaints process
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance
  • Liaise with the senior leadership team
  • Introduce processes to mitigate risk
  • Work closely with the Head of Risk to devise the Risk Management framework
  • Responsibility for FCA reporting
  • Support in the design, delivery and training of compliance processes and compliance monitoring systems

The ideal Risk and Compliance Officer will have:

  • Previous experience in risk, compliance or quality assurance
  • Financial services experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Positive attitude and solutions orientated
  • Process driven with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Comfortable at building and maintaining excellent working relationships across all levls
  • Organised and able to effectively prioritise a busy workload
  • Logical and analytical with critical thinking skills
  • Selfmotivated and hands on
