Campus Internship: Global Community Projects Assistant

This fixed term internship of 12 months is open to second or penultimate year undergraduate students at the University of Leeds only.

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a current University of Leeds student, with an interest in intercultural activities and enhancing the student experience? Are you looking to undertake a placement year as part of your degree? Would you like to gain valuable experience of event management, communications and supporting diverse groups?

In this varied role you will be part of the specialist team in the International Student Office and Global Community Team that delivers activities and projects to enhance the international experience on campus for all students. You will work on Global Community projects to engage all students with opportunities to get to know people from different cultural backgrounds and develop their intercultural competence and employability. You will help UK and international students to get the most from being at an international University.

With an interest in pursuing a career where you will be working with cultural diversity and/or involved in event management, you will have excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills and the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and complete tasks to agreed deadlines. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team; with a positive and proactive approach to problem solving and making improvements. You will also have experience of using Microsoft Office products (particularly Word and Excel) and the opportunity to deepen learning of IT skills in the role.
