    Description
    HGV Class 1 Driver Tramper

    Location – Shepton Mallet BA4

    Salary - £15.00 per hour

    PAYE - £17.00 LTD

    Nights out £25.00


    TEMP TO PERM
    Shift pattern/days worked – Monday - Friday.


    We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 Tramper drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday basis, completing day shifts.


    The role is HGV Class 1 Tramper driver to deliver goods ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service, happy to do hand balling when needed.


    Key tasks:

    • Delivering items to customers and collections
    • HGV - Tramper

    Duties:

    • Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
    • Load and unload palletised goods using appropriate equipment either a electric or manual pump truck
    • Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
    • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
    • Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

    Requirements:

    • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience
    • Clean driving record with no major violations
    • Proven experience as a truck driver with multi drop experience of palletised goods
    • Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong communication and customer service skills
    You will need to complete a 2 hour induction and assessment before starting.
