    Description

The Maximising Independence Service (MIS) in Adult Social Care is focused on early resolution, prevention and promoting independence and wellbeing for all people.

We are looking for creative and forward-thinking Occupational Therapists to join us in the Maximising Independence Team-South which covers Broxtowe, Gedling, and Rushcliffe.

In many ways this is a non-traditional, broad-spectrum role for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with endless opportunities to work with people creatively, putting them at the very heart of everything we do.

We will support and give advice in a timely way to those that need it and have a repertoire of in-service assets to draw upon to achieve the best outcomes for those that need something more.

Our practice is focused on a strengths-based approach and using a conversational style to help people ascertain what a good life looks like to them.

We would like to hear from you whether you are an experienced Occupational Therapist or newly qualified and keen to learn.

You will work with people of all ages and across all service areas. To be successful, your values and creativity will be key. You will work in a multi-skilled, fast paced, and supportive team.

You will receive regular supervision both formally and informally from an Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioner and will be supported to attend training to progress your career and meet the HCPC's CPD (Career Progression Development) requirements.

There will be opportunities to expand your knowledge and competencies, project work and service exploration based on your strengths and career aspirations.

You must have excellent communication and IT skills. You must be good at motivating others and be able to support others through change.

You must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with the HCPC. For Band B requirements you must have at least 2 years' experience as a qualified OT.

Applications also accepted from OT's not yet qualified who are in their final year of study.

For an informal discussion, please contact: Deborah Wilson/Team Manager on or Salma Hussain/Senior Occupational Therapist on
