NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is half days over 5 days.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to work with the Youth Health Service in Glasgow City HSCP.

The YHS works holistically with young people aged 12-19 years providing 1:1 support across a range of clinical and non-clinical supports.

This post will be part of the YHS team supporting a range of communication and digital functions.

The post holder will manage internal and external communication channels, with a predominant focus on digital formats.

They will be responsible for engagement with service users, planning, production and management of content across multiple channels on and offline, matching channels styles and messages to audiences as appropriate, internally and externally.


The post holder will lead the development and delivery of key communications, campaigns and initiatives, as well as contributing to the planning and reporting of the youth health service.


Qualifications:


  • Educated to Degree or equivalent level in relevant discipline
  • Postgraduate diploma in health related discipline (desirable)

Experience:


  • Partnership working and negotiation
  • Project management and planning implementation
  • At least 3 years' experience working in a relevant, specific topic, setting, and skill based health improvement arena.
  • Track regard of working and engaging with target audience (young people)
  • Supervisory experience (desirable)
Knowledge

  • Understanding of Health Improvement principles and practice.
  • Understanding of inequalities in health
  • Knowledge of current issues that exist for young people e.g. mental health
General Skills

  • Driving license and access to own car (desirable)
  • Basic image editing skills and use of graphics software e.g. Paintshop Pro, Adobe Photoshop
  • Basic Video clip production skills including scripting, filming, editing.


  • IT skills

  • MS office; Word, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Online analytical systems e.g. Google analytics, facebook paid ads
  • Online content management systems e.g. umbraco
  • Creative writing and editing
