PE Global are recruiting an Electrical Technician for our multinational mining and construction client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12 month contract.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Understanding and applying electrical schematic drawings and pinouts
• The ability to assemble and mechanically build test boxes to a schematic drawing, requiring good mechanical hand skills and ensuring quality in the result eg: Drilling, tapping, using suitable hand tools
• The assembly of (non-production environment) cabling/harnesses to a schematic drawing and pinout.
• The ability to create technical sketches from the needs of the engineers
• The ability to define the electronic/electrical/mechanical components required for the project
• Identifying, fault finding and resolve equipment issues using hand held electrical measurement tools eg: multimeter and oscilloscope

Experience/Qualifications required:

• Strong, proven practical equipment assembly capabilities
• A good technical qualification such as a relevant HNC or equivalent
• Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, control systems or automotive engineering Industries
• Previous Technical experience of Electronic/Electrical products or related Production systems
• Previous experience of building Electronic/Electrical equipment and harnesses
