We're the Transaction Classification Systems Lab (TCS) TCS is part of the Data & Machine Learning (DML) platform. Our aim is to leverage LBG's vast transaction data to better serve both Retail & Commercial customers.


The team is now looking for an exceptional Product Owner to drive the development and deployment of TCS for commercial usecases, including Your Business Insights, carbon footprint, commercial deposits optimisation, & others.

About the role

You'll report into the Head Product Owner for the TCS Lab and you would take responsibility for:

  • Gathering detailed product requirements from our commercial stakeholders
  • Defining the product roadmap, including Jira initiatives, epics, stories, and owning the Jira backlog
  • Working with the team of engineers, clarifying the product vision, acceptance criteria, and priorities
  • Aligning and drafting the delivery plan, including timelines
  • Reporting on delivery progress to the stakeholders and the leadership team, highlighting risks and issues in a timely manner and recommending approaches for resolution
  • Staying up to date with external developments (TCSs built by 3rd parties) & making recommendations on relevant POCs or new product features
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders & teams that TCS lab depends on
  • Developing & maintaining thorough documentation for the business stakeholders, including data product documentation in Collibra
  • Spearheading the data product certification process in line with the Data Product Strategy
  • Collaborating with the team of engineers & the Integrator on identifying & implementing the necessary governance steps
  • Supporting the lab's integrator on interlocking across stakeholder teams
  • Working closely with the Business Agility Lead to continuously improve the productivity of your team
  • Helping define & implement the Run function, including continuous data quality testing


What you'll need- Prior experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager is key; we are also open to product-minded Data Scientists & Program/Project Managers- Prior practical experience working within the field of data We are open to a range of backgrounds within the field, as much exposure to the following would be helpful; data products, analytics, statistics or mathematics, business intelligence, or data science.- Highly desirable to be familiar with Structured Query Language (SQL) or general experience collating data.

Alternatively, any experience of data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI would be good too.
