    Description

    An independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18 in Ascot, Berkshire. Catering for 300 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch supper, AM snack and afternoon snack. There is a considerable amount of hospitality at this location through the year. This is a term-time plus contract working 38 weeks plus 5 weeks over the summer. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern will be 5 days out of 7 working evenings and weekends, 40 hrs per week. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

    We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Ascot.

    You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

    • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
    • Great team player
    • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
    • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
    • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
    • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
    • Operate industrial dishwasher

    We are looking for:

    • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
    • Organisation Skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
    • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
    • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
