Responsibilities:

• Team management of 5+ cloud engineers and architects
• Delegate duties and tasks within the team of Cloud engineers and architects
• Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards
• Monitor all team members and provide necessary advice and guidance
• Coach all team members and motivate them to produce desired results
• Perform regular appraisal of team member's performance and devise strategies to help with improvement
• Hands-on work on projects as lead architect and quality assurance lead
• Act as the technical escalation point for the team
• Work closely with PMO and Head of Professional Services on prioritisation and project assignments as well as effective team capacity planning
• Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving public cloud industry
• Perform regular IT audits to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them
• Work alongside other departments (Sales and Managed Service) to achieve company goals and visions
• Provide solutions to any complex public cloud-related challenges in the organization (Microsoft Azure and O365 focus, AWS is a plus)
  
  

Requirements

Essential:

• Team Leadership and Management
• 4+ years of Azure environment deployment and support experience
• Virtual Machines, Availability Sets, Storage Accounts, and Azure Site Recovery
• Virtual Networks, Virtual WANs, and ExpressRoute
• Translate general infrastructure concepts through a deep understanding of the Azure toolset and be able to advise and/or select the appropriate Azure service to use for specific deployments
• Good general working knowledge of the public cloud landscape and why businesses use them
• M365, Endpoint Management, and Azure AD experience
• Automation experience using Terraform and PowerShell
• Configuration management
• High standard of written documentation and annotated diagrams
  
  

Preferred:

• Application Gateways, Firewall, and DDoS Protection
• Windows Virtual Desktop Deployment experience
• Experienced with container technologies and tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Azure DevOps & AKS and Azure SQL experience
• Atomation experience using Ansible
• Windows & Linux Server Administration background
