    We are currently looking for a Buyer to join their dynamic on an office-based role in Hertfordshire.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • To develop dependable supply chain and procure all materials in line with company's procedures and policies, utilising group deals where applicable. All to be undertaken in a timely manner, weorking to procurement programmes and at competitive rates.
    • Procurement of all materials, plant and equipment associated with the Company objectives, activities and its various projects.
    • Generating best value in procurement.
    • Establishing and maintaining good and professional relationships, internally and externally to ensure procurement targets are achieved.
    • Seek and research alternatives and innovations in material components and report to the wider site team.
    • Actively participate with all project terms to support and assist attaining the project objectives.
    • Monitor and report relevant project financial information.
    • Undertaking of all measurements and take offs to set budgets and enable procurement targets to be achieved.
    • Ensure all material orders are procured in advance of required dates and inform project teams of all materials and call off periods to achieve programme and delivery dates.
    • Table and report all material cost increase and savings against populated budget.
    • Be an active and integral member of the Commercial function both Pre-Construction, Construction, Post Contract and administrative.
    • Workings in conjunction with the plant yard team assess appropriate options of internal purchase or external hire on relevant plant and equipment, administering accordingly
